Two results missing from 2009 are rides by Dave Shepherd (58.04) for 4th place in Brighton Mitre “25” on 25th October & Nik Bowdler 2nd with 4.26 in the Sussex CA Hillclimb on the following Saturday (31st October).
As the Farnborough & Camberley CC “10” on 20th December was cancelled because of adverse weather conditions John Woodburn was denied a chance to get his name on The Lew Alexander Cup again.
The number of Veteran Riders from the Group over 70 has increased by two to a score (20) as both Ron Taylor & Ian Windall have advised me that they did compete last year.
Peter Warhurst, our Recorder, draws up his list from information given him by Claimants for Standards or other Group Competitions as well as from results published on CTT South DC Website but as our Group’s boundaries also include members who perhaps compete in other CTT DC areas cannot be complete unless individual members who belong to clubs in other District Councils advise him personally at the end of each year.
With the exception of Dave Shepherd all last year’s major prizewinners will be at the Group Lunch on 14th February.
Eighty seven people will be present at the function (the biggest attendance since 2003 when, incidentally, the ticket price was only £ 1 cheaper than this year).
Finally a request to those members who have not yet paid Subscriptions for the current year to forward them to me as soon as possible. Amounts due are £10 (£11 for joint membership) with Standards Fees remaining at last year’s figure of £10.
